Last updated: 5 September 2026 · Star Finder: Night Sky Map · iOS: ch.babala.starfinder
The app shows, for your place and time, the sky with more than 9,000 stars, the 88 constellations (lines and names), the planets Mercury to Neptune, the Moon with its phase, the Sun, the Messier objects and the Milky Way. It also offers search, a time slider, a pure red night mode, a “Tonight” summary with 5 targets, a star card with details and the story of each constellation, an event calendar (Moon phases, conjunctions, oppositions, meteor showers), a compass indicator with manual alignment (“Align here”) and two views (hold the phone up to the sky or drag the sky with your finger). If you wish, the app reminds you of events with local notifications. All sky calculations run on the device. The price is paid once through the App Store; there are no in-app purchases and no subscription.

So that we can help quickly
- Tell us the app, your device (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android) and the operating system version.
- Describe what you did and what happened instead — a screenshot often helps.
- Do not include any personal or business data from the app — we do not need it, and the app does not transmit it to us.
Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases run exclusively through the store you obtained the app from. Refunds and subscription cancellations are handled by that store: on iPhone, iPad and Mac under “Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions” or via reportaproblem.apple.com. We are happy to help with questions about this.
