Lumignon – Secrets & Prières
A candle that burns only on your device, an evening prayer at 8 pm, a personal prayer on request by e-mail, a directory of the «secret» tradition (Switzerland), emergency numbers and background knowledge — the app collects no data
Terms of use (EULA)
Last updated: 5 September 2026
These terms govern the agreement between you and Babala Özdemir (“we”) regarding your use of the Lumignon – Secrets & Prières app. By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app and remove it from your device.
1. What the app does
Lumignon offers: (1) A candle for you — you light a candle in the app and can write an intention with it. The candle burns visibly for 24 hours; candle, intention and history stay on your device only and can be deleted at any time. Every evening at 8 pm a volunteer of the Babala Software team says a prayer for everyone who has lit a candle — independent of denomination and free of charge; we learn nothing about you for this. If you wish, your device reminds you at 8 pm with a local notification (“Tonight, someone prayed for you too”); your device schedules this notification itself, there is no push server. (2) Request a personal prayer — a button opens your mail app with a prepared e-mail to info@babala.ch, a second one your WhatsApp with a prepared message to +41 76 792 63 50; you send it yourself. Beforehand the app points out that your e-mail address or phone number becomes visible to us, that you should not write diagnoses, that this is not an emergency service and that a reply is voluntary. (3) A directory of people who practise the traditional «secret» free of charge — currently only in Switzerland and without the canton of Ticino; it is being built up and starts empty. Only people who sign up themselves by e-mail (button “Sign up as a faiseur de secret” with a template), give the required declarations and have been checked by phone by us are listed; we then add the entry by hand (“Verified by phone” with date). You contact listed people yourself by call, SMS or WhatsApp from your phone; the app has no messaging function. (4) Emergency: the emergency numbers of your country to call directly (no medical instructions, no advice). (5) Tradition & knowledge with references, including critical ones, and “Learn more” links to public pages. Directory and content are also available offline (last loaded state). Minimum age 18 for requesting a personal prayer and for signing up to the directory (confirmation in the app, stored on the device only). The purchase price of CHF 2.90 is paid once through the App Store; there are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no donations. Prayers and directory entries are always free; listed people neither ask for nor accept payment for the secrets and prayers offered through Lumignon. The app does not mediate any payments.
Notes & liability (Disclaimer) – Before you begin (the app shows the same points on first launch):
1. Lumignon is not a medical service. Neither the prayer nor the people in the directory replace a doctor or treatment. No promise of healing; a medical effect is not scientifically proven.
2. Emergency: call your country’s ambulance number (Switzerland 144, otherwise 112), for poisoning the poison line (Switzerland 145, Tox Info Suisse). If you are in distress, your country’s crisis line is there for you (Switzerland 143, children and young people 147). The app shows the numbers of your country. An e-mail or WhatsApp message to us is not an emergency call.
3. The directory is a portal: listed people act independently and on their own responsibility. Lumignon recommends no one. “Verified by phone” only means the number was confirmed and the declarations given – no check of abilities or effectiveness.
4. Everything is free: the prayer and the directory. No one may ask you for money – please report it.
5. Requesting a personal prayer or signing up (by e-mail): 18 and over only. Write only what is needed, no diagnoses.
In detail. Lumignon is not a medical device: no diagnosis, no treatment, no assessment of complaints. Many people experience prayer and the «secret» tradition as comfort and companionship. The evening prayer and the personal prayer are not emergency services; a reply to an e-mail is voluntary and may take time. The first-aid information is general and replaces neither a course nor a professional. Role of Lumignon: for the directory we are an intermediary platform: we show entries of people who signed up themselves, and you contact them yourself by call, SMS or WhatsApp. Listed people act independently and on their own responsibility; there is no employment, mandate or other agency relationship between them and us, and no contract between you and a listed person is concluded through us. We do not recommend any individual person; order and display depend only on your filters, never on payment. We never list anyone without their own sign-up. “Verified by phone” only means that we confirmed the given number by phone and that the person made the required declarations (free of charge, no promises of healing, advice to seek medical help or call the emergency services, consent to publication); it does not mean any assessment of abilities, methods or effectiveness. We are liable for acts, omissions and statements of listed people only to the extent required by law; liability for intent and gross negligence remains reserved (Art. 100 Swiss Code of Obligations), and mandatory consumer rights (including under EU law) are not affected. Our own content: the prayer, “Tradition & knowledge” and the first-aid information are our own content or services; they too are not a medical service and no promise of healing. The directory only accepts people who neither ask for nor accept payment, make no diagnoses, perform no invasive acts, hand out no remedies (ointments, teas, preparations), sell no products, ask for no donations and do not advise against medical treatment. Listed people are themselves responsible for complying with the rules of their country. We may pause or remove entries that breach these rules or are reported; the person concerned receives a short reason from us by e-mail or phone. The section “Tradition & knowledge” contains carefully researched information with sources, not medical advice.
Italiano – Noi preghiamo, nient’altro.
2. Licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable right to use the app on devices you own or control, for private purposes, subject to these terms and the usage rules of the respective app store. All rights in the app, its content, text, images, illustrations, voices and source code remain with us or our licensors.
3. What is not permitted
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling or circumventing technical protection measures, except where mandatory law permits it
- Redistribution, rental, lending or transfer of the app or its content
- Automated extraction of content, or using the app to build a competing product
- Any unlawful use, and any attempt to disrupt operation, security or data integrity
- Signing up other people for the directory without their knowledge and consent, or impersonating someone
- Asking for money, donations or anything in return for prayer, the «secret» or contact, or providing payment details (IBAN, TWINT etc.), products, remedies, prices or advertising for an entry
- Making promises of healing, giving diagnoses, or advising people to avoid or stop medical treatment
- Offensive, discriminatory, threatening, sexual, unlawful or religiously disparaging content in e-mails, sign-ups or reports
- Harvesting or passing on contact details from the directory, or using them for advertising, surveys or mass messages; harassing or pressuring listed people
- Abusive reports or mass e-mails
4. Your content
No user content in the app. The app has no chat, no messaging function, no uploads and no forms that send anything to us. Candles and intentions stay on your device and are never published. Directory entries are added only after the person signs up themselves by e-mail; we never add anyone from public sources or on our own initiative. Procedure: sign-up e-mail with all details and declarations (free of charge, no promises of healing, advice to see a doctor or call the emergency services, consent to publication, phone number published for call/SMS/WhatsApp, at least 18 years old) → verification call to the given number → manual entry by us (“Verified by phone” with date) or rejection with a short reason by e-mail. There is no right to be listed; we may reject sign-ups and shorten, pause or remove entries. By signing up you confirm that the details are correct and that you follow the directory rules, and you grant us the non-exclusive, free right to publish the details in the app until you withdraw the entry. You request changes and deletions by e-mail to info@babala.ch. The directory is currently open only in Switzerland and without the canton of Ticino (Ticino health act, Art. 63d LSan). Reporting: every entry and every link has a “Report” button that opens a prepared e-mail to info@babala.ch (wrong number, unreachable, inappropriate, asks for money, other). Notice-and-action procedure (modelled on Art. 16 and 17 of the EU Digital Services Act): report by e-mail → review by a human, usually within 24 hours on working days → pausing or removal where appropriate → short statement of reasons by e-mail to the listed person; the reporting person receives a short reply on request. As a hosting provider we are liable for third-party content only if we become aware of illegal content and do not remove it promptly (cf. Art. 6 Digital Services Act). “Learn more” (external links): in the “Tradition & knowledge” section, separate from the directory, the app shows a selection of links to publicly accessible pages of institutions, associations, the Federal Office of Culture, hospital information pages, and media reports and documentaries — no personal websites of practitioners and no personal data. The linked content comes from third parties and is not monitored continuously; its operators alone are responsible for it, and to the extent permitted by law we accept no liability for it. Operators of a linked page can ask at any time, informally, for the link to be removed; we then remove it promptly.
Moderation policy (version 2026-10-03, rev. §0s; principles modelled on Art. 14, 16 and 17 of the EU Digital Services Act, applied voluntarily). Scope: only directory entries and “Learn more” links — the app has no chat, no uploads and no user content. What is not allowed: see “Prohibited use” (including sign-ups for others, money and payment details, promises of healing and diagnoses, advising against medical treatment, insults and harassment, third-party data, entries from countries or regions where the directory is not open — currently e.g. the canton of Ticino). Pre-moderation: no entry appears without a verification call and manual entry by a human. Reporting: by e-mail to info@babala.ch (button in the app); review usually within 24 hours on working days. Measures: notice, shortening, pausing or removing an entry, removing a link; immediately for manifestly unlawful content; we inform the authorities where life or limb is at risk. Statement of reasons: the listed person concerned receives a short, factual reason by e-mail (or by phone). Complaints: you can write informally to info@babala.ch within 6 months against any decision; a human reviews again and usually replies within 14 days; recourse to the courts remains open. No ranking: order only by your filters; nobody can buy visibility.
5. Purchases, prices and subscriptions
Lumignon costs a one-time CHF 2.90 (or the price shown in your country’s App Store), paid when you download the app. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription, no donations and no paid entries or placements in the directory. Only the app costs: prayers — the evening prayer as well as the personal prayer on request — are always free, as are directory entries and contact with listed people. The purchase price covers the development and operation of the app, not a prayer.
Additional content is offered as a one-time purchase; there is no subscription and no recurring charge. A purchase is tied to the store account used and can be restored on other devices of the same account.
Billing and payment are handled exclusively by the Apple App Store. We do not receive any payment instrument data. Refunds are governed by the respective store’s terms; refund requests must be addressed to the store directly.
For purchases made through the App Store, Apple’s “Licensed Application End User License Agreement” applies in addition. These terms are concluded between you and us only, not with Apple; Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them. We alone, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
6. Availability and changes
We continue to develop the app and may change, add or discontinue features. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability; maintenance, third-party outages or force majeure may cause interruptions. If a change permanently removes a core feature you paid for, we will inform you and seek an appropriate solution.
7. Warranty and liability
The app is developed with due care and provided “as is”. We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability for lost profit, data loss or consequential damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory claims under product liability law and mandatory consumer protection law remain reserved.
Please back up important data yourself. We recommend not relying solely on the app where an outage would have significant consequences.
8. Data protection
The data processed by the app is described in the Privacy policy. How to delete your data is described under Delete data.
9. Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by deleting the app and, where applicable, removing your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach these terms. In that case we refund unused prepaid amounts pro rata, unless the suspension results from a serious violation.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding the CISG and conflict-of-law rules. Place of jurisdiction is — to the extent legally permissible — our registered seat in 4414 Füllinsdorf. Mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers at their domicile remain reserved.
11. Final provisions
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. We may amend these terms when the app, the legal framework or store requirements change; material changes are announced in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new version.
