Günstigste Krankenkasse 2027
Independent premium comparison for Swiss basic health insurance — entirely on your device
Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
Cheapest Health Insurance 2027 (German “Günstigste Krankenkasse 2027”) compares the premiums of Swiss compulsory basic health insurance for your place of residence and your household. It works entirely on your device: no server, no user account, no analytics, no advertising. We are not tied to any insurer and earn no commission. We as the developer receive none of your data.
Privacy in short
The app collects no data. No server, no user account, no login. No analytics, no statistics, no advertising, no trackers, no third-party libraries, no crash reports to us. The premium data is built into the app; nothing is downloaded.
What data does the app process on your device?
Only what you enter yourself is stored in the app’s protected area on your device:
- Place of residence: postal code and town (from which canton and premium region are derived).
- Household: per person the year of birth, the franchise and whether accident cover is included. Names are not recorded.
- Selection: the insurance models you choose and, if you enter it, your current monthly premium.
The app does not process health data in the narrow sense (diagnoses, treatments). The expected medical costs in the franchise check are a slider; the value is not stored.
Apple Intelligence
On devices with Apple Intelligence you can describe your household in your own words; the app fills in the people and the place from it. For this it uses Apple’s language model on your device. Your text is not sent to us or by the app to any server, and it is not stored. The feature is optional; without it you enter the household by hand. Premiums and savings are calculated by the app itself from the official data, not by the language model.
Permissions
The app requests no permissions: no location, no contacts, no camera, no notifications.
When does anything leave the device?
The app never connects to us and does not transmit your entries anywhere. Only when you tap it yourself:
- Links: an insurer’s website, opendata.swiss, priminfo.admin.ch, this policy or support open in Safari, where the terms of the respective website apply. Your entries are not passed along.
- Phone: tapping an insurer’s phone number opens the Phone app.
Backups: if iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, the app’s data may be included in it. This is a setting of your device; the app itself syncs nothing with iCloud, and we have no access to your backup.
Source of the premium data
Premiums, tariffs, catchment areas and premium regions come from the open data published by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) on opendata.swiss and priminfo.admin.ch (premium year 2027). The app is not an official FOPH service and is not affiliated with the FOPH or any insurer.
Your rights and deletion
Access, rectification and erasure are addressed to the party that processes the data. We hold no data from the app — you exercise your rights directly in the app: view and change your entries, remove people, or delete the app. Instructions are under “Delete data”.
